Diamonds in the Rough November 2023

A moment of Gratitude

Tomorrow, in the US we will all have an opportunity to celebrate the things for which we are thankful. Many of us look forward to spending the day with family. Others look forward to an opportunity to connect with friends or a combination of both friends and family.

In Fondo Negro, every Friday is a Thanksgiving meal. Most of these boys would go home hungry from practice to a house without food to fuel their bodies after four or more hours of practice. Thanks to the generosity of all of you, this is not a reality for the boys on the team. This means they go into the weekend with fueled bodies and their families potentially have resources to feed the rest of the family. This allows everyone to benefit.

Starting in January, thanks to a successful fundraising breakfast in Spokane in October, this reality will extend to another day each week. Now midweek will include a day of nourishment where there wasn’t before. The boys and their families are forever thankful for your generosity and support and the leadership of Joshua 1:Nine will include this in their list of things they are thankful for on Thursday.

Sending prayers for a warm, love filled Holiday this week. Thank you for your on going support of Fondo Negro and the people who live there.

Come learn more about these kids and support the mission!

CHANGE YOUR LIFE! TAKE AN IMPACT TRIP!

Did you learn about the kids at the breakfast and now you want to see what’s going on with your own eyes? We are taking groups to spend a week with the kids in the DR! If this sounds like something which you are interested in being part, let us know by clicking the link above to send an email and we’ll get you more information!

As always, we are thankful for you, our supporters. We pray you are happy, healthy and know the peace that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. He’s got all of us in his hand, here and abroad, and for that we are forever thankful. Thank you for your prayers and ongoing support!

With deepest gratitude from the guys.
