Smile, it lets your teeth breathe. – Author Unknown
Earlier this month an Impact Team traveled to Fondo Negro to play baseball, support the literacy project and provide our first ever dental clinic! Over the course of the day, the dentists from Water@Work and our own Dr. Julia saw over 50 patients providing exams, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and more. For many people in the community it was the first time they had seen a dentist or the first time in a very long time.
In addition to dental work, Dr. Lisa provided an initial health screening including checking blood pressures and talking to people about general health concerns. This has opened the door to plans for a full medical trip in 2025. Are you a medical professional (nurse, dentist, doctor, dental hygienist or physical therapist to name a few) looking for an opportunity to provide healthcare services in a needy community? Please click below and let us know so you can be part of the planning process as the trip starts to come together!
Come learn more about these kids and support the mission!
